5 session Car licence to C+E (artic)

Our 5 session C+E (HGV1) courses are available to anyone that holds a full UK Car licence.

Our staff take care of booking your LGV medical and theory tests, and are available every day to help with any questions you might have.

because we have had our vehicles adapted and an extra seat fitted to be able to train 2 candidates at the same time, we are able to combine the best of 1:1 & 2:1 training. Our experienced advisors will advise you which is the best option for your personal circumstances and preferences.

Below is a description of what a candidate will be doing for each of  the 5 sessions.

Session 1 - Reversing & Uncoupling

The reversing and trailer coupling manoeuvres have been removed from the main driving test and made into a separate stand alone test called the Mod3a test.

You will be taken to our DVSA approved reversing area where you will spend the day learning the skills needed to pass this test.

Session 2 - Reversing test

Trucks Parked In Line

During session 2 you will continue practicing your reversing skills until you are ready to take the test. This is a very important part of the course as you cannot take the driving test without producing the Mod3a Pass Certificate.

In the afternoon our in house assessor will conduct the Reversing & Trailer coupling test and issue a DVSA Pass certificate. Many people also take the CPC Mod4 practical test during this session.

Sessions 3 & 4 - Driver training

These sessions are totally dedicated to practicing the driving skills needed to pass the test. We normally use the Ipswich test centre due to its outstanding pass rate and you will spend the training time in the area where your test will be.
Our in house ex DVSA LGV examiner is always on hand to offer additional advice and guidance for anyone struggling with a particular driving issue.

Session 5 - Driving test day

This is the driving test day. Tests are usually booked for the afternoon, giving plenty of additional time to brush up on the skills needed to be successful. During the day your instructor will conduct a full blown mock test. This is important so that you know exactly how the test will feel later in that day. 

How this Package works

Truck

  • Once you book the course we take your details and you pay the 10% deposit
     

  • We book your medical and send you the D2 & D4 forms. After the medical you send these forms to the DVLA
     

  • Once the licence is back we book your LGV and Driver CPC theory tests. We include online theory training to prepare you for these tests.
     

  • Once the theory tests have been passed we arrange the practical driver training and the reversing & driving & CPC Mod4 tests. There is a lot of flexibility how the practical training is done and we always create a course tailored to your personal circumstances.
