Our starter pack is perfect if you are thinking about doing a LGV course but have not decided which option to take. It includes everything you need to pass the medical and get the provisional LGV entitlement added to your licence. It even includes an observation day during which you will have 1 hour trial drive in the vehicle type of your choice.

D2 & D4 medical & licence application forms
We complete all the necessary forms and send then to you so that after attending the LGV medical you just pop them into a letterbox and wait for the DVLA to issue your new licence. This will typically take 2-3 weeks
LGV Medical
We will book your medical local to where you live. Just take the forms we send you for the doctor to complete. The medical should only take around 15 minutes. After the medical you just send the forms and your licence to the DVLA.
Theory test Training Materials
When you book this package we create an online training account so that you can start studying for the theory tests. You can study on any device with an internet connection including mobile phone, laptop or tablet.
There are around 900 questions to study and you can take unlimited mock tests online
Theory test fees
Once your licence has been updated by the DVLA we will book the theory tests for you. These will be taken local to where you live on a day convenient to you.
You will need to pass 2 separate tests, usually taken on the same day.
Multiple choice - 100 questions and you need to get 85 correct
Hazard Perception - 20 different video clips with a maximum score of 100. The pass mark is 67
LGV Cat 'C' or 'C+E' Trial Drive
As soon as your licence has been updated by DVLA you can attend an observation day in one of our fully automatic Cat C (rigid) or Cat C+E (artic) trucks. This will give you a feel of what is involved if you decide to continue and book a full course with us.
Starter Pack Cost refunded in full
If you decide to proceed and book a full LGV driving course with us later on, the entire price you paid for the starter pack will be deducted from the course booking. You really have nothing to lose. If you decide to delay the LGV practical course, the LGV provisional entitlement remains valid until you are 45 years old or for 5 years if you are already aged 40 or more. The theory Pass certificates remain valid for 2 years.
