3 session Cat C course

Our 3 session Cat C (HGV2) courses are available to anyone that holds a full UK car licence. 

​

Our staff take care of booking your LGV medical and theory tests, and are available every day to help with any questions you might have.

​

For these courses we use fully automatic 14 tonne DAF trucks. Each session lasts for 4 hours and the course can be done over 3  days or condensed into just 2 days. Most training can also be done at weekends if this is more convenient to you.

Below is a description of what you would be doing for each of the 3 sessions.

Session 1 - Reversing training & test

The reversing manoeuvre has been removed from the main driving test and made into a separate stand alone test called the Mod3a test.

You will be taken to our DVSA approved reversing area where you will spend some time learning the skills needed to pass this test. You will then take this test.

Session 2 - Driver training

Trucks Parked In Line

This session is totally dedicated to assessing your existing driving standard and teaching you the things you will need to pass the test. This will include LGV roadcraft, vehicle control and much, much more.

The LGV test is fairly complex and there is much to learn. Fortunately our very experienced trainers will guide you patiently through the process

Session 3 - Driving test day

This is the driving test session. Tests are always booked for the last hour of the day, giving you plenty of additional time to perfect the skills needed to be successful.  

How this Package works

Truck

  • Once you book the course we take your details and you pay the 10% deposit
     

  • We book your medical and send you the D2 & D4 forms. After the medical you send these forms to the DVLA
     

  • Once the licence is back we book your LGV theory tests. We include online theory training for you to study with.
     

  • Once the theory tests have been passed we arrange the practical driver training and the reversing & driving tests. This can be booked as a continuous block of days or tailored to fit in with your personal circumstances.
